Bible-Based Activities for Growing Little Hearts
Welcome to Joyful Zion!
We believe that teaching children about the Bible doesn’t have to feel complicated or overwhelming. Some of the most meaningful moments of faith can happen in the simplest ways—reading a Bible story together, coloring a picture, practicing a memory verse, or talking about what God has made.
Joyful Zion was created to help Christian parents, homeschool families, teachers, and children’s ministry leaders make those moments a little easier, more creative, and more joyful.
Our goal is simple: to provide Bible-based activities and Christian resources that help young children learn about God’s Word while they play, create, explore, and grow.
Bible Learning Can Be Joyful
Before our baby was even born, we had already talked about the kind of education we wanted to give him. We knew we wanted to homeschool him, especially during his early years, and create an environment where learning could be gentle, meaningful, and rooted in our faith.
Then Zion came along.
As he reached that wonderful stage of curiosity—when everything becomes something to explore, ask about, touch, and learn—we started looking for learning resources that would fit the kind of education we had envisioned for him.
So, like many parents today, we went searching.
We browsed Pinterest, explored blog resources, and probably binge-watched more YouTube videos than we’d like to admit. 😅
But along the way, we noticed something.
It wasn’t always easy to find resources that brought together the things we were looking for: a gentle approach to early learning, plenty of opportunities for creativity and exploration, and a strong foundation in Christian faith.
There were plenty of learning resources available, but we wanted something that felt more like us—resources that encouraged children to learn through curiosity, hands-on activities, stories, creativity, and real-world experiences while keeping God’s Word at the heart of it.
So we decided to create our own.
What started as something we wanted for Zion became an idea we wanted to share with other Christian families, too.
And that’s how Joyful Zion began.
We create resources designed to make Bible time easier to prepare and more enjoyable for little learners—from preschool Bible activities and coloring pages to tracing worksheets, activity books, memory verse resources, and other printable materials.
Our hope is that these resources give parents and educators simple tools they can actually use while creating opportunities for children to learn, create, ask questions, and grow in their faith.
We’re still very much learning as we go.
We’re parents, too, and we know we’re only at the beginning of this journey. And honestly, we’re pretty sure parenting never really ends. 😂
